D27 love these new soundscapes, they really compliment (and naturally expand) on the band's vibe. after a few listens sounds like radiohead's amnesiac b-sides or blackout beach aka some of my fav stuff ever aka artists unfurling their wings Favorite track: Earthseed.

about

Earthseed was created using Abelton and went through many many revisions but originally started as some Suicide covers. Ben Vida had been guiding me through digital composition while I was plowing through all of Octavia Butler's books.

Of course, Parable of the Sower and Parable of the Talents had a huge impact on me.

Lyrically, Earthseed is a direct reference to Parable of the Sower and Tacitus is more a reference to what happens in Parable of the Talents when certain types of people rule over the land. A land that is burnt to a crisp, a land full of violence and discordance and slavery and lawlessness. And that is fine, you can have it, you can have your shitty kingdom.

Because I like having different ears and approaches with each project, I reached out to Victoria Cheong who plays in the incredible band New Chance and Alaska B who plays in Pantayo and also creates incredible pieces as a composer, please check them both out! They did some great work here and I am lucky to have worked with them.

Likewise, Mira Martin-Grey and I had been corresponding and Bill Brovold sent me found sound tracks that he had recorded years ago and I found I loved approaching music as a sound collage, though in this case, quite literally. Hope you enjoy!
